Digital Ad Campaign: The Dogs Out Advertising Experience

The Dogs Out 5k digital ad campaign aimed to boost participation in a charitable race supporting animal welfare, while raising awareness about the organization’s mission. The campaign’s primary goals were to increase event registrations, encourage donations, and expand the event’s reach to both in-person and virtual participants.

The Process

  • Prioritized using imagery that tells a compelling visual story.
  • Evaluated provided images but found they did not fully capture the essence of an animal-centered 5K event.
  • Conducted extensive research through open-license content sources.
  • Discovered a striking image of a runner being led by a joyful dog during a marathon.
  • Selected the image as it perfectly encapsulated the dynamic energy, companionship, and community focus that defines the Dogs Out 5K event.

Bringing The Vision To Life

For the Dogs Out 5K ad campaign, I delivered two display ads and an animated GIF ad that effectively captured the event’s energy and purpose. Throughout the design process, I consistently applied insights from the initial research while integrating current design trends, such as bold typography and a minimalist aesthetic, to create visually striking and impactful ads. The main display ad utilized a strong sense of hierarchy and dynamic movement, with the dog appearing to leap over the word “Pawsome,” drawing attention to the event’s playful tone and action spirit.

By balancing eye-catching elements with a clean design, the ads effectively communicated the excitement of the Dogs Out 5K, encouraging viewers to join in the fun and support the cause.

“Your animated GIF ad is great. Your static ad looks great, too. Nice touch having the dog’s front paw appear in front of ‘PAWSOME.’”
